What We're Doing to Help Keep You Safe

While we aim to reopen the Club as soon as possible, the safety of our members and staff remains our top priority. Although our Club has always maintained rigorous safety and cleaning standards, we are now enhancing our cleaning and safety protocols to align with Health Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, and the City of Toronto's COVID-19 guidelines. Please note that all procedures outlined below are subject to change based on the aforementioned guidelines.

And remember, we’re all in this together, so cleaning at the Club will need to be a collaborative effort between our staff and the members when we return. We look forward to seeing you back at the Club again soon.


  • All staff will have received comprehensive training on COVID-19 safety and cleaning protocols which meet and exceed federal guidelines
  • The Club will be extensively deep cleaned each night prior to reopening the following day, including electrostatic disinfecting
  • Our team will be cleaning the club throughout the day using cleaning products that are Health Canada approved for effective use against bacteria and viruses including COVID-19
  • At check-in, we will be providing members with an individual sanitizing spray bottle containing 70% alcohol, which is safe and effective for use on hands, equipment and surfaces

Air Quality

  • All main fresh air fan supply filters have been recently replaced with MERV 13 filters.
  • All individual floor compartment units have been cleaned and prefilters have been replaced with new MERV 13 filters.
  • The percentage of fresh air follows ASHRAE standards based on outside factors however the system if fully automated and has been adjusted to ensure it is at the maximum level. 

Checking into the Club

  • Online bookings are required for all club visits to ensure adherence to COVID-19 capacity guidelines and will be available on our website and Club app – more information to follow
  • All members must scan in when checking in using their membership card or Club app
  • Upon check-in, members will pick up their personal sanitization spray bottle which must be returned when leaving the Club 

Safe Use of the Club

  • All members and staff should practice safe physical distancing wherever possible
  • In accordance with Toronto Public Health regulations, all staff and members must wear face masks in the Club, except while exercising, eating and showering
  • Members are required to bring their own masks to the Club
  • Plexiglass screens have been installed at all front desk and reception areas
  • All members must spray down exercise equipment before and after use
  • We have installed additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the Club
  • Signage and floor markings will be placed in key areas of the Club to ensure proper flow, member etiquette and use of equipment in accordance with physical distancing guidelines
  • Some fitness accessories will not be available during the early phases of the Club’s reopening
  • Any member who has been in contact with someone testing positive for COVID-19 shall refrain from using the Club until their self-quarantine has ended
  • Any member who tests positive for COVID-19 and has used the Club within the previous 14 days must inform the Club GM immediately

Locker Rooms

  • Locker rooms are open
  • Members are highly encouraged to keep locker room visits as brief as possible
  • Personal lockers are available
  • Day lockers are available and will be cleaned frequently
  • Showers, towels and laundry service are available
  • Members are strongly encouraged to bring minimal items to the club and leave all jackets and sport coats at the home or office when possible
  • In accordance with Toronto Public Health regulations, whirlpools, steam rooms and saunas are currently unavailable
  • The availability of some high-touch amenities has been paused

Modified Club Hours

  • Club hours have been modified to accommodate for nightly deep cleaning

Monday - Friday: 6:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday & Holidays: Closed

  • For phase 1, we will not be allowing guests (family, friends, out of town, reciprocal) into the 'athletic' areas of the Club. We will continue to monitor this and make changes when possible.

Personal Training & Pilates

  • Personal Training will be available
  • Pilates will be available


  • Members will be required to book classes in advance – modified schedule and class capacity guidelines to follow
  • Attendance will be taken prior to the start of class
  • Studios will be used only for classes / private sessions and will be cleaned and sanitized between usage

Swimmer in the TAC pool


  • The TAC pool will be open with online lane bookings available - modified schedule and capacity guidelines to follow
  • Because our reciprocal privileges are currently paused, the pool at the Hilton Toronto is not available to members

  • Squash and use of courts will be in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Squash Ontario
  • Court bookings will be modified to allow for cleaning and sanitization between usage
