Lauren Neal

Director of Personal Training

I've been in the fitness industry for over 12 years. I started out on the track and then transitioned into longer distance running as well as cycling. Back then, I did very little strength training work. It wasn't until after school that I realized the importance of being strong. My whole training regime changed and I've never looked back.

I've worked with all types of clients with different goals including strength and hypertrophy, weight loss, mobility, and more. My training usually doesn't just take place in the 1-3 hours I see someone each week, but expands outside of it. We're also often looking at sleep, stress management, non-exercise activity, and eating enough protein. All these things help to enhance the work we are doing at the Club.

I enjoy working with people and so it became a natural fit to pursue personal training. Each client is unique in needs and becomes like a puzzle coming together, making it a very rewarding work week.

Training Philosophy:

Consistency over intensity & I believe in training for strength - aesthetics will follow.

I'm currently training for...

I'm trying to hit a 225 front squat and complete 10 pull-ups in a row.

My most proud training or athletic accomplishment is...

I have two accomplishments that were a lot of work but also rewarding. Qualifying for Boston by 44 seconds, then never running another marathon! The second one is working my way up to a 315lb deadlift.
