Personal Trainer

I wanted to turn my passion for movement, fitness, and helping others into a career and I realized I could do that by improving the way people move, and help people understand their bodies by improving joint mobility and flexibility.

Over the last 4 years, I've been working with people of all ages and from all walks of life, from soccer players to clients with scoliosis and sciatica. I've helped my clients achieve:

  • Improvement in joint function
  • Reduction in joint pain
  • Improved hip mobility/rotation
  • Improved shoulder mobility/rotation
  • Build self-confidence
  • Build confidence in a gym environment
  • Achieve a 305lb deadlift
  • Achieve a 295lb squat
  • Increase strength
  • Increase active range of motion

I believe that when you move well and without pain, you feel good about yourself and feel confident and capable.

Training Philosophy:

Exercise is like homework. The more you practice, the simpler it gets. Let's do the homework together to help you create a sustainable lifestyle of wellness and an exercise plan that leaves you feeling confident when doing the workouts.

Qualifications:
  • Canfitpro Certificate for Personal Training
  • FRCms: Functional Range Systems Mobility Specialist
I'm currently training for...

I'm training for overall strength at the moment .I'm training to be as strong as possible at my end ranges of motions. That is, recruiting as much muscle and power as I can at the bottom of a squat, deadlift, and chest press.

My most proud training or athletic accomplishment is...

I have two accomplishments that come to mind: starting gymnastics at age 26 and doing a backflip, and deadlifting 445lbs, squatting 315lbs, and bench pressing 245lbs.

Client Testimonials

"Since our last session, my left knee has felt comfortable enough to squat again. And since training my hips with the program we designed, they are not sore anymore and my squats have actually gone up. And I haven't squatted in weeks before today."
