Sport has seemingly always been an integral part of my life. My love for fitness started at an early age on the soccer fields and hockey rinks in Nova Scotia. Playing competitive hockey and soccer helped to develop not only a competitive drive and edge, but also a sense of teamwork and passion for fitness.
I followed this passion into university, studying the science of human movement – kinesiology – at the University of New Brunswick. This helped me to understand not only how we move, but why we move the way we do.
I’ve been in the industry for 20 plus years – over 40 years if you include my wife’s experience as well! – which has made me appreciate the importance of balance in life. Fitness, nutrition, and mental wellbeing have all contributed to me being a good father, loving husband, and successful personal trainer.
