I spent my younger years as a ballet ninja. I kicked, jumped, and worked my butt off until it sparkled like a diamond. Then I learned to run really fast to get away from mean kids, which later led to 5 seconds of fame as a track and field star. I still regret pawning that gold plated trophy.
At age 19, I had an “enough about me” moment, realizing that I experienced the most joy from helping others. I wanted to transform bodies and help people defy aging. Eventually, that grew to include injury recovery, pain reduction, and helping to reverse degenerative diseases with exercise.
I love teaching people what to do to get the body they want. That extends beyond how it looks; it’s also about how it functions. Training practices for fitness, for aesthetic balance and for longevity are not mutually exclusive, but each priority requires a different approach for each person.
I focus on workout strategies in which the benefits outweigh the costs, over both the short- and long-term. Not all movements are created equal. Our fitness needs must be reevaluated with each passing decade, and maximizing your time at the gym gives you more time to enjoy life and live a quality life.
