TRACY FROHLICK
DIRECTOR OF PILATES, ADELAIDE CLUB
LEVEL 4 INSTRUCTOR
(EXT. 145) |
|
| Tracy first studied Pilates at York University in 1992, and received her Pilates certification in 2000 with Margot McKinnon and Susan Greskovitch in Toronto. Tracy’s extensive dance background and university training in dance injuries, dance therapy, and bodywork (i.e. Alexander Technique, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Feldenkrais Method, and Laban Movement Analysis), has shaped her teaching style. In 2001 Tracy certified in Yamuna Body Rolling, which has further informed her work towards muscle balancing and rehabilitation. Tracy continually expands her movement training by attending a variety of workshops and conferences each year. Included is her study of Pilates Based Rehabilitation, Gait Analysis, Pre & Post Natal Exercise, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, Pre & Post Hip Replacement, Spinal Rehabilitation, and Repetitive Stress Injuries of the Arms. Tracy’s passion for her work comes from her love of dance and desire to increase people’s strength and ability to function without pain, making work and play easier and more enjoyable for them. |

ANDREA SMITH
LEVEL 1 INSTRUCTOR |
|
Andrea has been teaching yoga classes at the Adelaide Club since 2002. She has been certified by STOTT PILATES® to teach pilates mat classes since 2004. She continued training with STOTT PILATES® and received her full certification in 2008. A dedicated Power Yoga practitioner, Andrea is greatly influenced by the STOTT PILATES® system. As well as being available to teach both pilates and yoga sessions, Andrea has created a fusion of pilates with yoga, for those like herself who love yoga yet require more specific activation of the core using the principles of Pilates. These two systems form the basis for her technique, combining the heat and energy of Power Yoga with the precision and attention to detail of STOTT PILATES®. Andrea’s unique abilities as an instructor have been influenced by her varied background; she worked as a performance analyst in the financial sector for 12 years, teaching part time. Previously, she worked as a Registered Nurse in Nephrology and Kidney Transplant, as well as Gynecology Oncology. |
